Loaned, dump, escavated, mined, silted and eroded
non-vegetated sites are named degraded areas. These sites require recovery - as mandated
by law - and as a voluntary company measure for certification and business protection
purposes. There are many techniques for recovering degraded areas. Technicians should
know each alternative, consider efficiency, safety and cost and suggest the best solution.
Rudimentary techniques are expensive and inefficient as they require constant reworking.
International standard hidrosowing (the use of large infill material volumes) and
anti-erosion biodegradable blankets, among other methods, have demonstrated excellent
results in degraded areas. |

was applied over the slopes.
