DEFLOR periodically offers a 2-stage Course on Erosion and Sediment Control. The first stage is entirely theoretical, dealing with themes such as geotechnics applied to Bioengineering, the effects of vegetation on the stability of slopes and embankments and bioengineering project criteria, among others. The second stage consists of a site visit, including a hands-on presentation of sowing techniques, the application of biodegradable blankets and sediment retainers. Participation certificates are provided at the end of the course.
